All About Chewy Tubes

Chewy Tubes, we used them when G was little. We've been getting lots of requests for them and lots of questions about them. Especially questions regarding toxicity. So here is a brief intro to Chewy Tubes... The Chewy Tube, designed by speech pathologists, these chew tubes are part of a jaw rehabilitation program. The tubes are different colors that represent different diameters of the chew tube. I believe yellow is the thinnest and blue is the thickets tube. P's & Q's are their cheap chew toy version that is quite a good deal IMHO... They are latex free and non-toxic.

The Grabber XT is for people with an extra strong bite and let me tell you it is awesome. This is one chewy that will take someone awhile to bite through. The rounded handle makes it easy to hold. There are a variety of Grabbers to choose from. The nice thing about a grabber vs. a chewy tube is the price, grabbers are a little cheaper.

The ChewEase Chewy Tube. This is cool, its a chew tube attached to a coil cord with a clip. So its easy to clip on and keep track of. The chew tube is sturdy and it comes with terry cloth or bumpy cloth covers for some chew variety. Extra covers can be reordered which help the chew tube itself to last awhile. They are latex free and non-toxic.

Cando Latex Tubing, use to be therapists suggested kids chew on this all the time. Now w/ the phthalates concern and latex concerns its not considered a good option. However, they are great for resistance work. Some people have used refridgerator tubing, medical grade tubing and more. There are some concerns about these items because they were not designed for chewing and may or may not meet FDA guidelines.
